Cooperation

The Academia offers the possibility to carry out research projects in cooperation with the Academia. This is an ideal form of cooperation between individuals and the Academia. The results of those research projects will be used by the Academia in its teaching and as a reference collection.

There are many different ways in which individuals and institutions cooperate with the Academia Thules. On this page you will find information about the possibilities we currently offer. We also are presently working to provide more methods in which the Academia Thules can cooperate with others.

Individuals
-Research Projects
The Academia offers the possibility to carry out research projects in cooperation with the Academia. In this kind of cooperation an individual agrees to produce a certain amount of information to be used by the Academia and gets help for his work from the resources of the Academia. An example of this kind of cooperation would be a situation where a real-life university student has to do a project about Roman law: The Academia offers this person some advice and background information and the student himself compiles this information into a form which can be used as a basis for a course in the Academia.

The Academia Thules is always interested in answering questions and in listening to the suggestions you may have about modes of cooperation. Please contact us if you feel there is any way we can help you.

Institutions
The Academia offers different ways for different institutions to cooperate with the Academia.

-Dedicated courses
Courses can be tailored for certain groups, e.g. members of certain Roman groups. The group can arrange a course for its members and the Academia will offer facilites for the course. The Academia would retain the right to use information and materials from the course.

A Roman group may also want to arrange a course open to all. This kind of cooperation can help groups to acquire new members and share information. The Academia would retain the right to use information and materials from the course. An institution may also arrange a course in order to train its own administrators.
